Dermal Filler Risks and Possible Complications - Hypersensitivity, Allergic response, Anaphylactic reaction (rare but can occur) - Formation of nodules (lumps) around the treated area - Slight visibility/palpability of the product under the skin - Persistent bruising which may last up to several weeks - Bruising and swelling may be worse when on certain medications i.e. Blood Thinners - Infection/abscess formation following treatment, eruption of cold sores - Small/rare possibility of filler being injected into a blood vessel. This can become blocked known as a Vascular Occlusion (VO) causing skin soreness, pain, coldness, numbing, and discoloration. Please make contact as soon as possible (ASAP) in this instance - If a VO is suspected, an emergency dissolve would take place (Free of charge) - Perfect symmetry may not be achievable - Limited or no response to treatment - In extremely rare cases blindness has been reported. This is for your safety and is best practice for your Aesthetic Nurse Practitioner's safety. - Additional treatment may be required at a later date (minimum 4 weeks post-treatment) - The longevity of treatment results may vary between individuals. - Patients can react differently to the same treatment Cancellation Policy Stuff happens, and sometimes you need to cancel your appointment therefore it is best to give as much notice as possible as we do not want you to miss out - You can do this by phone, Email, or WhatsApp message.
